Over the last few months, Jackson has kept a low profile and was last spotted shopping for baby buys at London’s Back in Action furniture store.

Jermaine Jackson Talks Janet Jackson’s Pregnancy: She’ll Be a ‘Strict’ Mother

The 61-year-old former Jackson 5 star spoke to Us Weekly at the Thursday, May 12, Power Up Gala at the Beverly Wilshire Hotel in Los Angeles. And he couldn’t contain his excitement at the news that his baby sister Janet, 49, was finally going to become a mother.

“My sister Janet is my baby. She is fine but she’s having a baby,” he said. “A baby having a baby. We look at her like our little baby. And now she’s grown-up and she’s having a baby. I’m proud to be an uncle and I can’t wait to see how this baby is going to look,” he said.

“She is feeling fine. Oh, my God! Janet loves to eat. I really don’t know what she’s craving, but I do know that she likes to eat!” he said.

And the future uncle has no doubt that the “Rhythm Nation” singer will be an awesome mother. “She’ll be a great mother because she is very tough, very strict,” he revealed. “I tell her, ‘If you need any parenting skills or any baby skills, let me know, because I’m the best diaper-changer there is on this planet, still to this day.'”

And it’s not just Jermaine who’s looking forward to meeting Janet’s new bundle of joy. Their late brother Michael Jackson’s kids are delighted about their future cousin too.

“Oh, yeah. Yeah!” the singer replied when asked whether Paris, Prince and Blanket were excited, before he was pulled away by his wife.

The singer’s 67-show excursion is in support of her upcoming eleventh studio album of the same name. Unbreakable is slated for release sometime this fall, although no firm date has been announced just yet.Jackson’s longtime collaborators, Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis, recently talked to Entertainment Weekly about how the album came to be. “She revealed to us what her concept was, and as we always do, we just began making music,” Lewis said of their music making process. “We don’t try to directly flesh out a concept until that time comes. We just try to get creative and start recording and do what feels good musically. She came with the concept, and that became the beginning theme of where we started.” Janet JacksonGoldenEye /London Entertainment

Regarding the album’s title, Lewis said, “It’s such a broad concept. You can think of it many different ways. Some people think of unbreakable as being hard, but I think unbreakable is just being able to be vulnerable and to be able to withstand what comes to you. She’s lived a lot of life in the last few years.”Jackson grew as an artist, but she didn’t forget her roots. “I think it’s totally different from any of her other albums. But it feels like her,” Jam said. “At the end of the day, I go back to that. The thing about this album is there’s a lot of different places that it touches, but at the end of the day, it’s pure Janet.”

Janet Jackson Previews First New Song in Literally Years: Listen!

Good things come to those who wait…and wait…and wait… Seven years after the release of her last studio album, 2008’s Discipline, Janet Jackson is finally getting ready to share some new music with the world — and on Wednesday, June 17, she offered the first tantalizing tease of what that music will sound like.

The “Rhythm Nation” singer, 49, gifted fans with an ever-so-brief snippet of a never-before-heard song, posting a 43-second video clip on Twitter. Jackson herself does not appear in the video, but her voice rings clear as the camera pans slowly over a notebook containing the lyrics to the tune scrawled in black pen.

“I lived through my mistakes / It’s just a part of growing,” she croons. “And never for single moment did I ever go without your love / You made me feel wanted / I wanna tell you how important you are to me.”

According to Entertainment Tonight, the song will appear on the Grammy winner’s upcoming album, Unbreakable, about “the human spirit, love, marriage, Janet’s precious family, and her fans.”

Jackson — who married billionaire businessman Wissam Al Mana in 2013 and has been scarce in the spotlight these last few years — is set to go on tour for Unbreakable in late August. As announced on Monday, June 15, she’ll hit up cities all over North America through November, with her first show in Vancouver, B.C., on Aug. 31.

The concert series will be the pop star’s first since 2011, when she traveled the world for her Number Ones, Up Close and Personal tour.
