Christian Audigier, best known for his work on clothing label Ed Hardy, has reportedly passed away at the age of 57.
Back in April, the fashion mogul revealed that he had been battling cancer. He is survived by his daughter and two sons.
His longtime publicist Michele Elyzabeth told LATF USA: ‘I just heard the news and I am truly devastated. Christian was an incredibly brilliant man. He will be missed.’
An insider for the lifestyle news site and magazine claims he had been re-admitted to Cedars-Sinai hospital in Los Angeles and slipped into a coma before recently waking up
According to a TMZ report from three months ago, Audigier said he was diagnosed with MDS (Myelodysplastic Syndrome) in January, which happens to be the same bone disease ABC anchor Robin Roberts was diagnosed with back 2012.
The gossip site also reported that he received a bone marrow transplant on March 19 upon completion of his chemotherapy.
Around the same time, Audigier was pictured in good spirits as he left the Cedars-Sinai Hospital.
No doubt it was a joyous occasion as he was joined by his girlfriend Nathalie Sorensen who showed her support by holding hands the designer and and even shared a loving kiss with him.
The Ed Hardy founder could not help but smile as he stood in front of a banner with the inspirational words ‘never give up’ spelled out on it.

The French entrepreneur began working in the fashion industry at the ripe age of 14 before moving to New York in his early 20’s to work with brands including Guess, Levis, Diesel and Bisou Bisou.
He then teamed up with the owner of Von Dutch to propel the brand into the spotlight before breaking off in 2004 to popularize his own Ed Hardy brand.
Audigier moved on to create even more successful brands including SMET, MMA brand Pretorian and Christian Audigier. His net worth is an estimated $250million according to Celebrity Net Worth.
There was even more tragic news earlier this week as it was reported that the former partner of Audigier had been shot dead in a suspected Mafia hit on the French Riviera.
Daily Mail Online learned that playboy fashion boss Regis Mijatovic, 45 was gunned down as he sat eating at a fish restaurant in sun-kissed Cros de Cagnes, near Nice.
Friends of Audiger said he was devastated over the murder.
Guests at plush eatery Charlot 1er screamed in terror after shots were fired and when the Mijatovic slumped to the floor in a pool of blood.
His dining companion – believed to be Giovanni Tagliamento, ex boss of feared Mafia clan the Camorra – was also shot in the ambush shortly after 10pm on Monday.
The helmet-wearing hit man roared off on his motorcycle before police arrived. Paramedics rushed to the shooting but battled in vain to save Cannes-born Mijatovic who died at the scene.
Mijatovic was a wealthy entrepreneur with a taste for flashy cars and glamour girls.
